If You’re Not at the Table, You’re on the Chopping Block: Don’t Let AI Policy Be Written Without You.

As an early-stage founder, one of the last things I thought about was “what do I need to be doing in D.C. to ensure policies and laws align with my long-term success?” I was too busy working on PMF and making payroll. But as AI reshapes the global economy, Washington is moving fast to catch up and not paying attention really isn’t an option.

Congress is drafting a once-in-a-generation $500 billion AI modernization bill. Executive agencies are outlining standards. Regulation is no longer speculative—it’s coming.

And yet, the major voices shaping this future are the ones with full-time policy teams and multi-billion-dollar valuations: OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, Google, Meta - you know the names.

If you’re an early-stage AI founder, you’re likely not in the room

That’s not just a risk—it’s a missed opportunity. We’re changing that.

Launching August 2025, the AI Coalition is a founder-first nonprofit created to ensure that early-stage AI companies—from pre-seed through Series B—have a voice in shaping the policies that will define the next decade of innovation.

This isn’t about lobbying (though yes, we’ve got pros on the team...).

It’s about visibility, influence, and strategic access—without the gatekeeping.
